The prestigious magazine Condé Nast Traveler, praises the region, by referring to it as quietly becoming one of the best destinations in Europe for all those who enjoy wine. Flut Travels totally agrees with this idea, reason why it’s developing a tour of the region. The estate, in which you will stay, is more than just a simple hotel... It`s totally decorated by Philipe Starck, Charles & Ray Eames or Mariano Fortuny, all these great designed objects, are present in a rural environment, where you witness a true balance between rurality, design, comfort and elegance. All these features are present and appealing to all your senses. For the afternoon a tour guide of the estate with the tasting of 3 wines,is prepared and later on, dinner will be served at the excellent Malhadinha restaurant, “4 tasting moments with pure wine harmonization“ .

The day starts with an unique experience, a wonderful ride in a hot air ballon, to watch the sun rise and be stunned the beauty of the Alentejo landscape. Lunch at the estate. In the afternoon a tour guide is prepared at the neighbouring estate, where you will visit the wine cellar and get to know a little better the wine culture of the region. There will of course be more wine tasting and later on dinner. The Alentejo is the area of origin of the famous kinds of grapes ; like the Trincadeira or the Aragonês, gives the wine a full bodied flavour, unique in its kind, all this because the ground is composed mostly of chalk, clay and sand, mixed with a lot of sand, mixed with a lot of magnesium which produces a good terroir flavour. We will then return to Malhadinha for a goodnight sleep.
